Common Name: Fiddle-Leaf Fig
Scientific Name: Ficus lyrata
Overview: Fiddle-Leaf Fig Trees are known for their rich, leathery, fiddle-shaped green leaves. They love bright indirect light.
Before purchasing a Fiddle-Leaf Fig for an indoor environment, be sure that you have a well-lit spot near a window that faces east, west, or south. If you do not have adequate lighting, a Fiddle-Leaf Fig will not thrive.

- Height: 2 ft. - 2.5 ft.

Care Information:
Basic Care:
- Sunlight: Requires bright filtered sun. Rotate often for even exposure.
- Water: Evenly water when soil is dry to the touch. Only water again once the soil has dried. For best results, use a moisture meter.
- Pets: A Fiddle-Leaf Fig will occasionally drop leaves. Do not allow pets to ingest the leaves.
- Potting: For best results, repot a Fiddle-Leaf Fig into a new planter that has a drainage hole.
Fertilizer:
- Use a fertilizer with an N-P-K ratio of 3-1-2.
Seasonal Care Changes:
- During the winter months, Fiddle-Leaf Figs require less water and don't need to be fertilized.
ZZ Plant
Common Name: ZZ Plant
Scientific Name: Zamioculcas zamiifolia
Overview: This plant deserves a lot more attention than it gets. It is one of the toughest around, making it a perfect choice to add to your home or office. ZZ plants usually grow to a height of 17"-24". These beauties are smooth, shiny, and dark green. Their individual leaf longevity of at least 6 months is the reason it can survive extremely well under low light and needs less water.

Care Information:
Basic Care:
- Sunlight: The Zamioculas zamiifolia grows with low levels of light, but it's best to avoid direct sunlight.
- Water: Allow the soil to become dry at the top two inches to the touch between watering and do not overwater It's best to water this plant less rather than too much because over-watering can cause stem and rhizome rot. If you do not have a green thumb, this plant is for you!
- Pets: All parts of this plant are said to be toxic if ingested by children, cats, and dogs.
